Coral Islands report

Coastal Ocean Research and Development in the Indian Ocean (CORDIO http://www.cordio.org) has a new report entitled “Ten years after bleaching – facing the consequences of climate change in the Indian Ocean CORDIO Status Report 2007. (Editors: David Obura, Jerker Tamelander, & Olof Linden). This report, the fifth in the series reflects the diversity of local, national and regional responses to climate change, and the contents of the publication are intended to show there is no single way to adapt to climate change, no uniform outcome that affects all places in the same way. Each community, research institution, country and sub-region in the publication expresses variations on the reality of degradation as a result of climate change interacting with other local threats, and variations in possible outcomes and how to respond to these.
